Death Educator

Erin Merelli is a Death Doula, Death Educator and Co- Founder of the Deathwives, a Death Doula training collective.

Broadly, her mission is to widen the narrative around death and dying, by approaching deathcare as an act of love and agency.

Her work examines our fears around loss and mortality, studies modern and traditional deathcare practices, honors sacred traditions, removes stigmas around death, empowers collective grieving, and teaches communities how to care for each other - all the way until the inevitable end.

Erin's work includes a library of courses on death and dying, covering a wide range of topics designed for both the everyday mortal, as well as the professional deathworker. Her work has been featured on PBS, TedXMileHigh, Forbes, Hospice News, The Trevor Moore Show, and many podcasts and publications
